Trimble Park

Two Inglewood parks - Joe Gibbs Reserve and Trimble park - could soon be linked thanks to a gift of land from farm owner John Clark.

The gift includes a request that New Plymouth District Council (NPDC) grant Mr Clark a right-of-way easement accross the existing NPDC reserve (Trimble Park - Section 2 SO 14870) and gifted land to improve access to his farm.

The proposed right-of-way will enable vehicle access from Standish Street (between Kohanga Reo and 55 Standish Street) to the farm at 1629 Mountain Road (Part Section 1 Moa District) through the provisions of section 48 of the Reserves Act 1977.
The right of way will not affect future pedestrian access through the land between Joe Gibbs Reserve and Trimble Park, and it might provide pedestrian access to a new part of the reserve across the Kurapete Stream.

A final decision on the approval of the right of way is subject to consideration of objections and submissions from the public.
